I'm your host, Scott Starbuck, and we're gonna go inside and interview some girls here at MaZi dance studio! Entrepreneurs that own a great dance studio right above my store in Wicker Park! We're here with the MaZi dance studio owner Ziba and her sister Marisol. This is an amazing space you guys are at; you're right upstairs from City Soles! Tell me a little bit of your story, your passion for dance, and why you guys are here! Ziba: We've been here for about 2 years. We found this space by just pure luck. We both have an extensive dance background in ballet. Through and through it is definitely our passion and definitely what drives us. Even though we both worked for corporate America we definitely wanted to separate it. We took a lot of family support and jumped at the chance. We are good working together! Our fitness technique stems from our ballet training. All of those dancer-esque classes are really just putting on the ballet fitness part of it. Along with that, we also have Zumba, hip hop, dance cardio and those things that are an escape destination for a lot of our students. They come here after work, they're ready to let loose, they dance to music and then, before they know it, an hour later, class is over and they're drenched in sweat! Scott: I love it!
